CORMORANT POINT HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
The March 1, 2017 meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order by Steve Fox at 3:58 pm in the Golf Hammock Club Meeting Room. Board members in attendance were Bob Rivenes, Nancy Beatty, Lillian Kachelries, Ed Chroscinski and Bob Henderson. Members in attendance were Margaret Thomson, Ron & Karen Sasher, Leo & Ruth Hoffman, Bill Geiger, Bill & Carolyn Hineline, David & Judy Boudia, Alice Rebec, Floyd & Pia Walbert, Rosemary Kunz, Cliff & Joyce Waters and AC & Glenna Hollar.
Minutes: The minutes of the February meeting were emailed and posted on our bulletin board on the Waterwood commons. They also appear in the Golf Hammock web site. A motion to accept the minutes as published was unanimously approved. If a member would like a printed copy of the minutes, please contact Bob Rivenes 385-5790.
Treasurer’s Report: Nancy Beatty reported that with $116,396.91 in the treasury starting February and with $10,658 in income and $15,422.53 in expenses (lawn maintenance and miscellaneous), March starts with $111,632.38 in the treasury. A motion to approve the report was unanimously approved. A complete report is attached.
President's Report: Steve praised the lawn maintenance work by Sunny South and Jim Dubberly. He once more cautioned walkers to carry a light when out in the dark mornings and evenings.
Vice-President Report: No report.
Violations (Property Compliance): Several reports received and resolved; dog problems, missing papers, and parking issues. A house in ownership transition is badly in need of maintenance. A tree trimming is pending property line resolution. Note: April paint sale at Sherwin-Williams. Bob is leaving for the north soon so direct your violation reports to a Board member.
Bob’s Tip of the month: Protect yourself from sales and phone scams. Info meetings are held every third Tuesday by the Sheriff’s office at Homer’s at 9:15 am.
Architectural/Landscaping: A satellite dish was installed.
Note the new seawall on Lake Marlene.
Welcoming: One visit was made
Old Business: Karen Sasher’s picnic report is attached. Thanks to Karen and to her committee for a very successful event.
New Business: Nancy reported that the Sheriff’s office is embarking on an aggressive ticketing campaign so watch your speed and seat belts.
Meeting adjourned. The next scheduled Board meeting is April 5 at the GHOA facility at 4 pm.
