CORMORANT POINT HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
January 4, 2017 Annual Meeting
The January 4, 2017 Annual Meeting of Cormorant Point Homeowners Association was called to order at 4pm by President Steve Fox in the Golf Hammock meeting room. Board members in attendance were Bob Rivenes, Nancy Beatty, Lillian Kachelries and Ed Chroscinski. Members in attendance were Margaret Thomson, Ron & Karen Sasher, Leo & Ruth Hoffman, Rosemary Kunz, Carl & Heddy Scaggs, Bill Geiger, Paul & Rosalie Chanley, Jim & Pat Ladd, Leon Kordel, Bill & Carolyn Hineline, and Pia Giorgrone & Floyd Walbert.
Steve reported that Nancy Beatty and Bob Henderson have agreed to run again for the Board for three year terms. He asked for any nominations from the floor. Hearing none he moved that the two members be elected by acclimation. The motion was approved unanimously. Thanks to Nancy and Bob for volunteering. For personal reasons Keith Coultas has resigned from the Board. As a result of the election, the Board will consist of Steve Fox- President, Vacant- Vice-President, Bob Rivenes- Secretary, Nancy Beatty- Treasurer, Ed Chroscinski- Landscape/Architecture, Bob Henderson- Violations, and Lillian Kachelries- Welcoming.
The Board welcomes any one volunteering to serve on the Board to fill out the required membership of seven.
The Secretary asked if there were any changes or additions to the minutes of the last annual meeting. There being none, a motion was made to accept the minutes as published. Motion carried.
Nancy Beatty reported that with $53,526.22 in the treasury starting December and with $2,250 in income and $14,909.31 in expenses for December, the year 2017 starts with $40,866.91 in the treasury. For details see the attached financial spreadsheet. Nancy noted that that new quarterly assessment process is going well thus making the Treasurer’s job much easier.
Nancy suggested that Jim Dubberly be presented with a bonus of $700 for his outstanding work for the association and for his personal help to several members. A motion was made and seconded and unanimously approved.
The next Annual Meeting will be held January 2018 with the exact date and time to be announced later in the year. There being no further business, the meeting was motioned for adjournment. Motion carried.
