CORMORANT POINT HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
The February 3, 2016 meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order by President Steve Fox at 4:00 pm in the Golf Hammock Club Meeting Room. Other Board members present: Bob Rivenes, Ed Chroscinski, Lillian Kachelries, Keith Coultas, Nancy Beatty, and Alex Harding. Members in attendance were Bob Henderson. Margaret Thomson, Nancy Galle, Diane Coultas, Leo & Ruth Hoffman, Peter DiMasi, Lydia Harding, Al & Betsy Pasinella, Rosemary Kunz, Dave & Judy Boudia, Jean Osborne, Lydia Harding, Alice Rebec, Bill Geiger, Harvey Riffle, and Benny & Bonnie Casady,
Minutes: The minutes of the January meeting were emailed and posted on our bulletin board on the Waterwood commons. They also appear in the Golf Hammock web site. A motion to accept the minutes as published was unanimously approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Nancy Beatty reported that we started the month of December with $68,890.48 in the checking account so that with receipts of $72,650 and expenses (for lawn maintenance and miscellanies including the picnic) of $21,199.59, the balance in the account at end of the month was $110,340.89. A motion to approve the report was unanimously approved. A full report is attached.
President's Report: A lawn fungus is becoming a problem caused by over-watering. To help reduce the problem, please turn off your sprinkler system until the ground has a chance to become drier.
Our cancelled comprehensive insurance policy will be given to a new company by April.
Any proposed solar panel installation must by cleared by the Board.
Vice-President Report: To clarify the question of prohibition of work on Sunday, the following Bylaw changes were moved, seconded and unanimously approved:
Under Section XIV, paragraph 2, add the following words:
“No power or any noise producing equipment/tools or items that produce noise, but not limited to vacuums, blowers, mowers, edgers, drone, remote control cars/toys or any other activity including sports, ect, that produce noise may be operated, used, or conducted on Sunday.”
Also, in a separate action, in Section II, replace the word reseeding with “resoding”
Violations (Property Compliance): One incident which was resolved between neighbors.
Several satellite dishes are in need of painting.
Architectural/Landscaping: A number of request were approved including satellite dish installations, landscaping changes, roofing installation, door replacement, and golf cart shed installation..
Welcoming: Four visits are pending.
Old Business: To emphasize the continuing problem with dog deposit cleanup, a sign will be installed at Waterwood common area that notes that the area is NOT a dog park.
New Business: None
Member Comments: While Jim Dubberly does repair sprinklers his crew may of damaged, for any other work he may do at the request of members, he should be compensated for his efforts by that member.
Meeting adjourned. The next scheduled Board meeting is February 3 at the GHOA facility at 4:00 pm.
